{"id":84,"date":"2017-02-04T19:32:03","date_gmt":"2017-02-05T00:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/durhammennonite.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=84"},"modified":"2017-02-04T19:45:30","modified_gmt":"2017-02-05T00:45:30","slug":"covenant","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.durhammennonite.org\/?page_id=84","title":{"rendered":"Covenant"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<h3>We pledge our selves, with God\u2019s help,<\/h3>\n<li>To love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength;<\/li>\n<li>To love our neighbors as ourselves;<\/li>\n<li>To love our friends and enemies as we have been loved by Jesus,\u00a0who did not count our wrongs against us, but endured death for the sake of our lives;<\/li>\n<li>To persevere in faith, confess our wrongs to one another, and continually turn to God\u00a0for grace, hope and life;<\/li>\n<li>To join together\u00a0in worship and prayer, the instruction of Scripture, the sharing of bread and cup, basin and towel,in witness by word and deed to God\u2019s rule in Jesus Christ, nearby and across the earth,\u00a0in discipleship to Jesus, growing together through the Spirit into the likeness of Christ,\u00a0in caring service to one another and God\u2019s world, according to our gifts in God\u2019s Spirit;<\/li>\n<li>To live together in fellowship,practicing mutual care through joy and sorrow as members of one another in Christ\u2019s Body,\u00a0giving and receiving counsel regularly to one another under God\u2019s Holy Spirit,\u00a0speaking truth in love and listening with patience and humility, under God\u2019s living Word,\u00a0offering and accepting forgiveness in Jesus, with mercy and generosity, to heal and reconcile,\u00a0sharing God\u2019s gifts entrusted to us, to relieve burdens, strengthen the weak, and live God\u2019s call.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We pledge our selves, with God\u2019s help, To love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength;
